Um exemplo que eu sempre comento é o tempo de resfriamento e de whirpool. Quando você pergunta para vários cervejeiros experientes o tempo que eles levam para resfriar o mosto ou para fazer o whirlpool, você vai ouvir muitos números diferentes, e essas diferenças influenciam diretamente na isomerização/aproveitamento do lúpulo, ou seja: quando uma receita fala para colocar o lúpulo faltando 10 minutos de fervura, pode ser que o cervejeiro escreveu contando com os 20 minutos de whirlpool, e que o resfriamento dele tome mais 10 minutos para o mosto estar abaixo de 80°. Isso faz com que esse lúpulo de 10 minutos fique 40 minutos no total, isomerizando, enquanto outro cervejeiro pode ter o hábito de não fazer o whirlpool, ou fazer o whilrpool a frio, o que faz com que a isomerização seja somente de 20 minutos...
